Parent Carers Together invite you to an Inclusion Support session, “Let’s talk SEND”

If you’d like to understand more about the new BCP Inclusion Support Partnership, and the work being developed in response to the national Experts at Hand guidance, Parent Carers Together have a bookable session.

They shared the following information:
Parents, carers and families are invited to join us for an informal lunchtime session on 16th of September between 1pm-2pm.

During the session, we will:

  • Provide an update on the developing BCP Inclusion Support Partnership model.
  • Explain how the model has been designed to strengthen inclusion across schools and educational settings.
  • Explore how the support will be implemented and the range of specialist practitioners involved.
  • Share our vision for continued growth, collaboration, and impact across the local area.
  • Discuss what this means for children, young people, families, and schools.
  • Offer a live question-and-answer session, giving you the opportunity to seek clarification, share thoughts and gain a deeper understanding of the new approach.

The session will be led by Lisa McDonald, SEND & Inclusion Consultant working with BCP Council. Lisa is passionate about supporting schools and education settings to feel confident, knowledgeable, and skilled in meeting the needs of all learners. Her work focuses on developing the education workforce, strengthening inclusive practice, and ensuring children and young people receive the very best support to thrive, belong, and achieve.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Hear first-hand about an important development in SEND and inclusion across BCP.
  • Understand how specialist support will be available to schools and settings.
  • Learn about the professionals involved in delivering the model.
  • Ask questions directly and contribute to the conversation.
  • Help shape a shared vision for inclusive education in our community.

*PLEASE NOTE- the presentation by Lisa McDonald will be recorded for those unable to attend the event. Once the presentation has ended, the recording will stop ready for the parent Q & A part of the session to ensure we maintain a safe space for our parents. Parents can keep their camera and microphone switched off if they wish*

Please complete the booking form if you are interested in attending the live session. The booking closes on 15th September at 6pm. We will send you the joining instructions by email in due course.

We look forward to welcoming you for an engaging, informative, and inspiring discussion about the future of inclusion in BCP.

Kind Regards,
The Parent Carers Together Steering Group
