The Local Authority are running a workshop on “Understanding Autism”. Available on the 4th, 11, and 18th of October, it will be at Rossmore Family Hub, between 9:00-12:00.
It aims to help parent/carers develop a greater understanding of autism, and offers you ways to build a supportive environment for the child or young person you are caring for.
This is aimed at the parents, carers, and grandparents of children up to 16 years old. They will discuss subjects like:
What is the Autistic spectrum?
The many strengths and talents of children with autism
Myths and facts
Ways to support your child to reach their full potential
