Dirtied and gritty, but determined looking, they have "2025" superimposed on their face. The right-hand side of the image has a fresh young anime-style face, looking out to the right. Almost time to say Happy New Year, as 2025 winds down, and 2026 winds up. We’re going to be here on our normal hours this coming Friday the 2nd of January 2026, then again normal hours from the following Monday.

We’ve events on that first full week of the new year, so take a look at those on our Events page. As always, we’re there to answer questions, and give advice. If you can’t make it to a drop-in, or if the workshops(online or in-person) aren’t what you need, then get in touch via the Contact page.

Talking about waving goodbye to 2025, I thought I’d take a brief look back at it.

SENDiass4BCP held and were part of 51 different workshops and drop-ins over the year, while also attending a number of school and college run events too.

We supported 2099 queries via phone and email, with the average query taking 22 minutes.

Some queries are more complex, requiring a bit more support, but not our higher levels of support – 392 of those queries were dealt with in 2025, with 11 more still ongoing. Not counting the ongoing, the average query at that level has taken 67 minutes.

SENDiass4BCP provided ongoing support to 216 of the most complex and longer-lasting referrals over the year, some of which are still ongoing. So far, the average query has received 320 minutes of support.

We also supported with multiple home visits, social media queries, discussions with colleagues in health, education, and social care, and held positive steering group meetings.

Our website has had 52,573 page views, viewed by 20,169 different visitors(Hi!👋).

We also sadly waved goodbye to a long-serving colleague, who has moved on to pastures new – very happy for her in her new role though!

We’re still looking to support more families, in the new year, and are always interested in hearing of other ways that we can reach families who don’t know about our free and impartial information, advice, and support service – if you’ve an idea, let us know, please!

From all 9 of us at SENDiass4BCP, Happy New Year!
