A young person who has been heavily involved with making our videos, has been awarded as a “Young Community Change Champion” by BCP Council, in a recent award ceremony.
We’re really pleased that Robyn won the award, as it reflects not just the hard work that she did as part of our young people’s group, but all the hard work she has done since.
While Robyn was working on the “We are Limitless” videos, she worked with other young people from BCP and from Bath & N.E. Somerset area, to create three videos: “The Student Voice: Our Personal Experience of SEN Support“, “To our Younger Selves“, and “Time to Talk: Where to get help“.
She has gone on to work with the Council for Disabled Children(CDC) and produced training, that helps to ensure that young people are involved in steering group meetings. She is still working regularly with them on National Agenda issues.
Robyn is also part of Children and Young People’s Self Advocacy Board(CYPSA), discussing issues around health, and has been invited to speak at the SEND Health Forum Meeting.
Robyn is passionate about helping young people with SEND to get their voices heard, and we are really proud of the work she has done so far. It is great to have been a part of her journey, and we wish her every success.
