The law has not changed

While the government has released it’s White Paper, it is important to remember that the law has not changed. There is a lot of talk about what the government is planning on doing, and the changes that they are planning on putting in place – but currently, the law is still the same.

The White Paper – formally called “Every child thriving and achieving“, tells us what the government is planing on doing, and gives a rough idea of how long those changes will be expected to take. There is a lot of information in there, so people will be talking about it’s implications quite a lot over the next few days.

But a white paper doesn’t change the law – a white paper just says what changes to the law the government is proposing on putting in place. To read how parliament describes a white paper, follow this link to the parliament website. It is not a long read.

In the meantime, the support that schools, the Local Authority, NHS, and Social Care, that all stays the same – and so does our support. Feel free to get in touch.
