SENDiass4BCP use various social media platforms, none of them perfect, but most having differing demographics, or ways of sharing information. We have differing levels of reach across each of them, but we try to use them all to increase the number of people who hear about the support that we offer, with the aim of reaching people who might otherwise not access support.
More that one of those platforms has experienced different controversies over the years, and through most of it, we have continued to use them for that same aim – reaching out to people who need support, who perhaps wouldn’t hear of us through other channels.
However, the concerns over Twitter/X’s lack of moderation, the dubious uses of Grok, and the investigations into X’s parent company’s response limited to those dubious uses of Grok, have led to the decision to leave Twitter/X. We won’t be deleting our account, so that people who find us there can still get to our resources. However, we will not be posting there any longer. A pinned post on our profile will direct people to make use of our resources here and via other social media.
We are here to support the families of children and young people with SEND. If you are a young person with additional needs, or if you have a child with additional needs, and you need support around their rights to education, health, and social care, please do get in touch using our contact page.
