Find your EHCCo(Formerly Case Officer)

AI_Generated image - Headed "Find your EHCCo", this image is composed of puzzle pieces, with various symbols on - a person using a wheelchair, an email symbol, a book with a question mark, a sunflower. The missing piece of the puzzle is a person. A mother and child are either side of the puzzle.

We are sometimes asked by those that contact us, how they get in touch with their Education Health Care Coordinator, or EHCCo. The EHCCo role was previously known as a Case Officer, and they are Local Authority staff members within BCP Council’s SEND Team.

The quickest way to find your EHCCo is via the BCP Council Family Information Directory. On this page, you’ll find a list of schools and the EHCCo linked to each one. Use the pink drop-down menus to locate your child’s school and view the relevant contact details.
Many EHCCos also offer the option to book a short 15-minute appointment via Microsoft Teams. Booking links are provided next to each school listing. To make the most of your time, it’s recommended that you prepare a list of questions or topics in advance.

Should their details be missing, or if they are on leave, ill, or are not responding, their managers details are also included on the same page, and would be your next point of contact. You can also email the SEND Statutory Services Team directly at SENDbso@bcpcouncil.gov.uk or call 01202 128880.

You may also be able to find your child’s EHCCo and track the progress of an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) or EHCP via the Council’s EHCP Portal.  More details on how to use that, via the linked page.
