Who is my Case Officer?

AI_Generated image - Headed "Find your EHCCo", this image is composed of puzzle pieces, with various symbols on - a person using a wheelchair, an email symbol, a book with a question mark. The missing piece of the puzzle is a person. A mother and child are either side of the puzzle.

We often get asked “Who is my Case Officer”, by parent carers who are struggling to communicate with the SEND Team. The Local Authority have shared one of the ways they are trying to make it easier for parent carers to contact their Case Officer – who are now known as Education Health Care Coordinators, or EHCCos.

If you go to the Local Offer page BCP Council Education, Health and Care Co-ordinators (EHCCO) (formerly Case Officers), you can find out how to contact your EHCCo, who is their manager, how up to date the information is, and more.

At the time of writing this, the page was last updated on the 29th of May 2025. You can see this in the last line of text that is above the drop-downs.
The first drop down gives you a range of general contact methods.
The second drop down tells you who the SEND managers are, and what age groups they are responsible for – Primary, Secondary, and Post 16.
The last drop-down tells you who to contact for those children and young people who are no on roll at a school or college.
In between these, the drop downs are ordered alphabetically by school and college. Click on the drop down relevant to the name of your school or college.

Most of the EHCCo’s also have a link next to their name, so that you can book a slot for a quick chat with them – a 15 minute Teams meeting.

If you are don’t get a response from your EHCCo after 3 working days, you can contact their manager.
