The Local Authority have more sessions of their Triple P Family Transitions Programme available. This five-week group programme is designed specifically for parents who are navigating the challenges of separation.

Their aim is to make the task of parenting a little bit easier during this transitional period. The programme offers practical suggestions and positive parenting strategies to promote your child’s development, manage the stresses of separation, and ensure a happier home environment.

You can attend the programme with or without your ex-partner, separately or together. The sessions cover a range of topics including coping with emotions, managing disagreements and conflict, and balancing work, family, and play.

The programme will be held at the following locations and times:

  • Winton Library, Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, BH9 2EN on Thursdays from 6 June to 4 July, either from 9.15 to 11.45 or from 12.15 to 2.45.
  • Poole Old Town Family Hub, Green Road, Poole, BH15 1QB on Wednesdays from 25 September to 23 October, from 9.15 to 11.45.
  • Turlin Moor Family Hub, Turlin Road, Poole, BH16 5AH on Thursdays from 26 September to 24 October, from 9.15 to 11.45.

The sessions are run by Liz Clough, a freelance mental health trainer and counsellor, specialising in working with families. Liz has spent the past 15 years supporting parents through change, helping them build better inter-family relationships and manage challenging behaviour.
